The Berrys in Spain

Our Plot

We have a plot of just over 5000m² (about 1¼ acres to you non metric people), situated 500m above sea level. It is mostly level to the front and a raised level to the rear.

This is what we hope it will look like when we've finished - following this is our progress to date.

Our plans and project, for the pool and garage, were duly submitted to the town hall, where they were promptly turned down. This is due to the ongoing saga about legal/illegal builds. And until the local plan is produced it would seem that we are going nowhere. We have been advised to sit and wait till the mist clears and then resubmit (about 4-6 months, now looks more like 6-12). Meanwhile our local mayor has been charged with irregular issuing of some building licences, but will not be going to jail. Several others are already in jail for similarly issuing licences illegally.

The now ended saga of our mains electricity supply - we now have mains electric (11 Feb, only a 2 year wait), as well as our solar.

We do get some amazing sunsets, this with with the sea mist rolling up the valley below us.
